Dr. Tettegah has a PhD in Educational Psychology from the University of California. She is a professor in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction, Educational Psychology and a part-time faculty member in the Beckman Institute’s Cognitive Neuroscience group. She was a Program Director at the National Science Foundation in the Division of Research on Learning in Formal and Informal Settings. She managed programs in the Education, Human Resource Directorate, and also the Directorate for Computer and Information Science and Engineering . Her fields of professional interest are educational applications of fMRIs, games, simulations and virtual reality environments.

She has taught Black Studies Courses on Black Psychology, the History of Jazz, Black Sociology and the Black Child. Next year she will teach Equity and Educational Technology, Computer Assisted Instruction and Games in addition to other technology based instruction. She has been teaching online and also researching e-learning for over 14 years.
